There have now been 6 overdose deaths within the past month
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men overdosed on Thursday night, according to Lincoln Police. These deaths occurred the same day the Lancaster Health Department issued a health alert due to the spike in accidental drug overdoses.
The 22-year-old and 29-year-old died in separate locations, according to police, and it is unsure if the deaths were caused by fentanyl-laced cocaine. Police are still waiting for the lab results, though police say the deaths do follow the patterns of the previous overdose deaths.
Police say life-saving attempts were made on both victims, and Narcan was even administered to one.
