Two arrested for terroristic threats in Lincoln

After a making threats in front of officers and a car chase police found them with a gun

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two men were arrested in Lincoln for terroristic threats just after midnight on Thursday, according to Lincoln Police.

Michael Nunn, 46, and Charles Pate, 26, called the police Thursday after 9 p.m. saying they were shot at in an alley on 27th Street. They told officers they were picking someone up and thought they were targeted because they knew people in the area.

Police found spent shell cases in the area, Nunn and Pate were not injured. They said that they would take care of the problem themselves.

Just after midnight Nunn called the police and told them he and Pate were chasing a car they believed shot at them. Dispatchers told Nunn to stop chasing the vehicle.

Nunn and Pate were stopped by officers at 7th and Benton. Officers found a firearm in the vehicle and ammunition in Pate’s pocket.

Officers stopped the car Nunn and Pate were chasing on 10th and Hartley. The driver, a 52-year-old man, and the passenger, a 41-year-old woman, said they were having dinner when they heard gunshots and left out of fear. No firearms were found on them.

Nunn and Pate were arrested for terroristic threats.
