“St. Louis on the Air” brings you the stories of St. Louis and the people who live, work and create in our region. The show is hosted by Sarah Fenske and produced by Alex Heuer, Emily Woodbury, Evie Hemphill and Lara Hamdan. The audio engineer is Aaron Doerr.
This interview will be on “St. Louis on the Air” at noon Thursday. This story will be updated after the show. You can listen live.
On Tuesday, St. Louis County Councilwoman Lisa Clancy’s bid to reinstate a mask mandate for indoor public spaces fell short. In a rare voice vote, the Democratic-majority council voted down her proposal.
In the process, Clancy drew vitriol from meeting attendees, including one woman who made comments about her breastfeeding. Clancy gave birth to her second son just two months ago.
On Thursday’s St. Louis on the Air, Councilwoman Lisa Clancy will join us to discuss mask mandates, the unusual alliances on the county council, and the difficulties that come with being a mother of young kids in a high-profile job.
