Stories by Gladys Bautista – WLKY Louisville

February 3, 2021 by LPP Reporter

Gladys Bautista joined the WLKY News Team in January 2021 as a reporter. She is excited to call Louisville home.

Gladys comes to Louisville from Jefferson City, Missouri where she was a reporter and anchor for the local CBS affiliate station. While in mid-Missouri, she covered various national stories including an overnight tornado that struck Jefferson City, for which her and the rest of the team received a national Edward R. Murrow Award for breaking news coverage.

Gladys graduated from Georgia State University in May 2018 with a degree in Multimedia Journalism. During her time there, she interned for various news outlets including CNN, CNN International and WSB-TV. She also spent the fall of her sophomore year in Venice, Italy studying her minors in International Politics and Italian at Ca’Foscari University of Venice and Venice International University.

Gladys was born and raised in New York City and moved to Atlanta in 2013 to attend college. She is fluent in Spanish and Italian.

In her spare time, Gladys love to spend time with her family and friends, travel and see everything Louisville has to offer.

She loves to meet new people and is very excited to tell the stories of those who live in the community. If you see her out, don’t hesitate to say hello!

If you have any recommendations on what she should explore in Louisville, let her know via email at Gladys.Bautista@Hearst.com.
