A St. Louis motorcyclist was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he was hurt in an accident early Saturday evening (Aug. 14) on Hwy. B south of Hwy. 30 in Cedar Hill.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the 23-year-old St. Louis man was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster XL1200C motorcycle north on Hwy. B at 6:40 p.m. when he slowed and began to slid. The man lost control and the motorcycle overturned, throwing him off.
The man sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South.
An update on his condition was not available.
He was arrested by Highway Patrol officers on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He will not be named unless he is charged with a crime by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The motorcycle had minor damage, the report said.
