| Box Score 2 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Wichita State women’s tennis swept it’s midweek matchups by blanking Creighton on Tuesday and beating hosts Kansas City, 4-2, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Shockers stay on the road to face No. 47/42 Oklahoma State in a just added match on Friday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m. They will then travel to and face Memphis on April 11 and Tulane on April 13.
 
Creighton
 
Doubles
The Shockers picked up wins at the bottom two positions to clinch the point. Jessie Zheng and Ting-Ya Hsu won first with a 6-2 win at line two and Natumi Kurahashi and Alexandra Lazarova sonn followed with a 6-2 win of their own at line three. Sarvinoz Saidhujaeva and Marta Bellucco were up 5-3 when the match was suspended.
 
Singles
Wichita State never put their foot on the brake and handled Creighton quickly in singles. Lazarova got the first win with a win over Higueras on line six, 6-4, 6-0. Bellucco followed with a win over Wilcox, 6-4, 6-1, and the match was halted once Kurahahsi picked up a win over Nowakowska, 6-4, 6-1. Zheng was on her way to a win at five while Saidhujaeva and Hsu were destined for a third set when the match was clinched.
 
Kansas City
 
Doubles
The match was forced into a rain delay and was eventually moved inside. Both teams agreed to start with singles inside and play to clinch.
 
Singles
Saidhujaeva was able to pick up a win after being forced to go unfinished last time out. She topped the Roos’ Grechinka at the top, 6-4, 6-0.  KC won on line four to tie, but Hsu put the Shockers back up with a win over Sharma at No. 3, 6-0, 6-4. Lazarova won next at No. 6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, and the match was clinched by Zheng in another three-set match, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.
