Pre-packaged muffins sold at Walmart, Sam’s Club, and 7-Eleven are being recalled due to Listeria concerns
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- Give and Go Prepared Foods Corporation has announced a voluntary recall of their muffins that are sold across the nation under various brand names, including “Uncle Wally’s”, due to Listeria concerns.
Uncle Wally’s muffins can be found at Walmart, 7-Eleven, Stop-and-Shop, and Sam’s Club.
Give and Go is telling people to immediately dispose of the products.
“We became aware of this issue as part of our environmental monitoring program. To date, we have received no reports of illness related to this issue and are taking this action out of an abundance of caution,” the company said.
Listeria infection can be serious or fatal with symptoms like nausea, severe headache, fever, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. The infection is most dangerous for young children, the elderly, and those with weak immune systems.
