Located at 46 Penn Centre, near Country Club Plaza, Ocean Prime Kansas City is the 17th location of the modern American restaurant and lounge from the award-winning Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. The nationally acclaimed Ocean Prime delivers an extraordinary dining experience with stunning settings, an impressive menu of seafood and prime cuts of steak, signature cocktails, a Wine Spectator-honored wine list and truly genuine hospitality.

With an expansive 8,500 square feet of space, including three private dining rooms and a peninsula bar, Ocean Prime will offer an extensive menu, including seafood, prime steaks, chops, chicken, and sushi. From the kitchen and bar, there is an appreciation for ingredients that comes through in every dish. The menu is both classic and modern featuring lighter items like sushi and poke, and more indulgent seafood presentations, such as juicy steaks and decadent desserts. The wine and spirit lists are extensive and balanced by creative cocktails.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Leo Harvey, Jr., Ocean Prime’s from-scratch kitchen will provide both Kansas City locals and visitors alike with a premium dining experience that includes the highest quality ingredients, as well as simple, pure, local and regional flavors.  Previously, he was the Executive Chef at Ocean Prime Washington D.C. and has been a part of the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ family since 2016.

“We’re looking forward to joining the Kansas City community on the heels of Prime Social’s opening in November,” said Ocean Prime Executive Chef Leo Harvey, Jr. “We can’t wait to welcome new guests to Ocean Prime. It’s our goal to make all of our guests feel like a VIP no matter the occasion for their visit.”

Ocean Prime Kansas City also features three stunning private dining rooms. The Plaza Room overlooks Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza and accommodates groups of up to 18 guests. The Ward Estates Room accommodates up to 36 guests. For more intimate gatherings, the Neptune Room accommodates up to eight guests. Partial and full buyouts are also available.

Each location is unique and designed to fold into the energy of the city where it is located. Ocean Prime Kansas City showcases stunning sculptures and oil paintings from several local Kansas City artists.

Ocean Prime is the second of two concepts from the renowned Cameron Mitchell Restaurants to launch in Kansas City. Prime Social, a rooftop cocktail lounge on the 16th level of the Penn 46 Building opened November 2021.

“We have felt the energy from the neighborhood with the opening of Prime Social and we are thrilled to give Kansas Citians another Cameron Mitchell Restaurants experience with Ocean Prime,” said Cameron Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. “Ocean Prime Kansas City will be an extraordinary dining experience while being unique to Kansas City.”

Guests can experience Ocean Prime in 17 locations around the country: Beverly Hills, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver (Tech Center and Larimer Square), Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Naples, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Tampa and Washington, D.C.
