YEAH, IT REALLY WILL BE AND THINGS HAVE BEEN PICKING UP THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC WITH THIS ONE A YSOU SAID BEING AMONG THE BUSIEST NOW PRE-PANDECMI LEVELS ABOUT 16,000 PEOPLE WOULD CHECK OUT OF KANSAS CITY ON THEIR WAY TO TRAVEL BUT THIS WEEKEND THEY’RE GONNA BE ABOUT ABOUT 80% OF THAT. SO THAT’S QUITE A BIT. ABOUT A HUNDRED THOUSAND TRAVELERS WILL BE TRAVELING THROUGH KANSAS CITY INTERNATIOL NAAIRPORT THIS WEEKEND AND THAT’S NOT COUNTING TODAY. TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THESE PEOPLE WAITING FOR THELU BE BUS HERE JUST ARRIVING. THESE ARE ALL PEOPLE ARRIVING TO KAASNS CITY. NOW NATIONALLY MONDAY IS POISED TO BE THE BUSIEST DAY IN AMERICA FOR TRAVEL ESPECILYAL AFTER ALL OF THE PANDEMIC ABOUT SEVEN MILLION PEOPLE WILL BE FLYING THIS WEEKEND NOW LOCALLY AT KANSAS CITY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT A LOT OF THE CARRIERS WILL BE ADDING MORE FLIGHTS. STARTING AFTER THIS WEEKEND AS THEY KKIC OFF THE SUMMER SEASON. SO A LOT MORE DIRECT FGHLITS WILL BE PICKING UP AFTER TODAY A LOT OF BUSY TRAVEL FOR F

The numbers are pointing toward this being the busiest travel weekend of the coronavirus pandemic at Kansas City International Airport.Airport officials say there have been thousands of people that have been checking for departures and arriving each day of the Memorial Day weekend.According to KCI officials, the airport operated during the three-day holiday weekend at a 90% load factor, even with fewer total flights because of the pandemic’s impact on passenger demand.“For total passengers, double it,” Kansas City Aviation Department spokesperson Joe McBride said. “Pre-pandemic figures averaged 16,000 people screened. Adding those numbers equals 50,316 screened. If you include people flying in and arriving, you can say 100,000 total passengers traveled through the airport Thursday through Sunday. And Monday is not over yet, so there aren’t total numbers yet.”McBride said the passenger breakdown by day looked like this:Thursday – 13,144Friday – 13,199Saturday – 12,261Sunday – 11,712The summer travel numbers are expected to continue to increase at KCI as more airlines add flights – including some starting next week – and resuming some service.
