We are off to a bit more of a comfortable start this Thursday morning! Temperatures are sitting in the 60s for most of southeast Nebraska with a few spots still in the 70s. Overall humidity is on the lower side this morning, so it’s not as muggy across the area. This will continue into the afternoon with a bit of a drop in high temperatures as well. Highs will only peak in the low 90s with heat index values in the 90s to triple digits. So it will still be hot, but not as hot as the last few days. Late this evening we could also see a line of thunderstorms firing up a long a cold front anytime after 7 PM. Parts of southeast Nebraska will likely see some of these storms, but most of them should be closer to the KS border. We see a major drop in temperatures tomorrow as highs return to the mid-80s through the weekend.
