The driver, one of four juveniles in the vehicle, was injured in a late night rollover crash in north Iowa.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy located a Ford van northeast of Arlington which had rolled over in the ditch at the intersection of 90th Street and Forest Road, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning. An investigation determined the juvenile male driver was traveling too fast when he attempted to make a turn, lost control of the vehicle, and it entered the ditch.
The driver was transported to Mercy One Hospital in Oelwein by Arlington Ambulance Service to be treated for his injuries. He was also cited for failure to maintain control. The three juvenile passengers were not injured and the van was considered a total loss.
The Arlington Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
