Posted on June 8, 2022

Overland Park residents affected by this week’s severe weather can drop storm debris off this Sunday and Monday.

Overland Park Parks Headquarters, 11921 Hardy, will serve as the dropoff site. It will be open for storm debris dropoff on Sunday, June 12 and Monday, June 13 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

You must have proof of residency to drop off debris at the site. Staff and volunteers will be checking for either an Overland Park ID, or an ID and matching utility bill with an Overland Park address. Non-residents driving vehicles will be permitted to use the drop-off sites when an Overland Park resident appears with them and with proof of residency.

There is no limitation on the amount or form of storm debris that will be accepted. Branches, limbs, or stumps can be bundled, bagged or loose.

Please plan to unload your vehicle yourself. Volunteers will be on site to check residents in, but will not be available to help unload vehicles.

Please be prepared for the possibility of traffic or waiting in a line of vehicles to drop off debris.

Debris from commercial vehicles will not be accepted.
