One man from Colorado and one from Minnesota are facing drug charges after their vehicle was stopped for speeding in north Iowa.
The car driven by 31-year-old Brann Trosclair of Broomfield, Colorado, was pulled over for excessive speed on Interstate 35 near mile marker 188 in Cerro Gordo county just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. The arresting officer says he noticed green plant material consistent with marijuana in the lap of Trosclair, leading to a search of the vehicle.
Authorities discovered marijuana and products labeled as THC in the front passenger compartment, plus a vacuum sealer and a scale with marijuana residue in the trunk. Law enforcement says they also found empty heat-sealed bags labeled for repackaging marijuana and numerous containers of THC concentrate.
Trosclair was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license. A passenger, 20-year-old Kayne Bulow of Richfield, Minnesota, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and interference with official acts.
