The Washington Nationals game has been halted after the team reports there was a shooting outside of the ball park.
WASHINGTON (KLKN) – The Washington Nationals game has been halted after the team reports there was a shooting outside of the ball park.
The Nationals tweeted out that a shooting happened outside of the third base gate. They then encouraged fans to exit the ballpark through two different gates.
Tonight’s game has been suspended due to an incident surrounding Nationals Park.

The DC police department also tweeted that two people were shot with two additional victims associated with the incident walked into local hospitals with gunshot wounds.
DCP said there is no ongoing threat to the public and they are investigating the incident.
MPD is responding to a shooting in the 1500 block of South Capitol Street, SW, in which two people where shot outside of Nationals Park. This is currently an active investigation and it appears there is no ongoing threat at this time.
