Authorities Seek Public Help in Investigation of North Iowa Assault  – KCHA News

Authorities are seeking the public’s help in their investigation of an assault in north Iowa earlier this month.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says a 20-year-old male victim was attacked at Clear Lake State Park Beach about 6:30 p.m. July 2nd.  The altercation occurred in the water near several tied-up boats and is believed to involve multiple suspects.  The victim suffered a laceration to his eyebrow, a broken nose, and chipped teeth.  

Law enforcement is seeking the public’s help in identifying those involved in the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. Contact information is included in this story on our station website.
