5 biggest surprises from Kansas City Chiefs training camp so far

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Perhaps the biggest surprise of Chiefs training camp has been rookie tight end Noah Gray. The rookie has exceeded all expectations typically attached to a fifth-round draft pick. He’s been such a quick study, picking up the playbook with ease, that he’s earned action with the first-team offense. Additionally, he’s earned praise from his coaches, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes.

The best part of it all is that the rookie has managed to stay grounded and not let the hype get to his head. He’s still coming into work wanting to learn and improve his game. If he can continue on this track and show out during the preseason, the sky is the limit for this player, even as a rookie.
